TAWNY Supervision

Being a therapist of color has a unique set of challenges for the therapist as well as for clients. When it comes to the issue of race, clients are not always able to express their issues and concerns to non-colored therapists. There is also the issue of power dynamics that exist between clients of color and non-colored therapist. Therapists of color often have to work hard to not bring race into the room, but it is around us everyday. This group will discuss these issues and process the impact in our everyday lives and work.

WHAT: Monthly supervision

WHO: Therapists of color

WHEN: 3rd monday of the month from 2pm to 3:30pm. Can be flexible on time

FEE: 75.00 per person
